SCAMMERS from Donetsk and Lugansk

Are they just poor beautiful souls from Ukrainian occupied territory – Donetsk and Lugansk region that are in need of urgent help constantly? Or are they professional scammers?

Every week we receive about 20 to 30 requests from foreign men who ask to do a background check of ladies from occupied Donbass Ukrainian territory – Donetsk and Lugansk regions. There are 2 most common requests from our clients about these ladies whom they have usually met through a dating Web site:

• To know more info about girls’ background. In 99% of such cases we explain that their so called fiancee is living in Ukraine on non-occupied territory and it is just a waste of money to do a background check of someone who claims to live on that occupied territory.
• Their so called fiancee lives on occupied territory and will do anything imaginable if someone could help her to move out from Donetsk or Lugansk region either to Mariupol, Kharkiv, Kiev, Odessa, Lviv or some other city in Ukraine on non-occupied territory.

EVERY girl, lady or woman you meet on any dating or marriage Web site who claims to live permanently on occupied territory of Donetsk or Lugansk region and needs financial help – IS A SCAMMER! Period.

If you are curious and want explaination how those scammers usually scam foreigners – just read on. For better understanding scam process of girls from Donetsk and Lugansk we will have to remember some history of past years…

As you may already know, Russian Federation has officially annexed Crimea back in 2014 and unofficially occupied Eastern part of Ukraine – most part of 2 industrial Ukrainian regions of Donbass – Donetsk and Lugansk. From 2014 there is an ongoing war in that region between Ukrainian army and Russian ex-military soldiers who are controlled and fully supported directly from Moscow.

We will not dig deep into politics now, you just have to know that this situation in Donetsk and Lugansk will not be solved quickly and war will be going on for years – maybe even for decades. Oligarchs and government from both sides benefit enormously from this situation, but more than 5 million people that lived there before occupation in 2014 suffer and will continue to suffer. As all over the world, wars and conflicts are made to earn money for a small group of powerful men who do not care at all about sufferings of millions other people. Oooops, we are into politics again 😉

So, as of 2014 when Donbass occupation took place, all companies and businesses on that territory in general were shut down. Since it was a big industrial region, all equipment from factories was also occupied and quickly moved to Russia where that equipment continues to work successfully up to this day. Almost 80% of working population moved from that occupied territory to Ukraine and to Russia simply because there was no work in Donetsk and Lugansk. Rest 20% of working population that did not express desire to move because of whatever reasons, remained there and are employed now in so called government sector that is fully supported by Russian Federation. Of course, most population that were above 55 years old also stayed there.

Saying all that, you just have to understand – there is absolutely no opportunity in Donetsk and Lugansk to find job except in governemnt sector where very few people are needed anyway as there is no business activity on that territory. Average salary in Donetsk and Lugansk is less than 200 US Dollars per month, which makes it simply a survival for 98% of people living there. Everyone who could move out from there have already done that. According to statistics, 75% of working population moved to non-occupied part of Ukraine, 20% moved to Russian Federation and most lucky 5% moved abroad.

Having said all that, Donetsk and Lugansk are ideal places for girls to scam foreigners! Those girls pretend to be poor souls that just have to stay there and survive for 100 US Dollars salary working 18 hours per day as either nurses, shop consultants (even though there are almost no shops there), administrative workers or soldiers. They put up those profiles on dating Web sites asking foreign men for help either to move out of that region or to support them.

Of course, they all ask for money! Preferably you will be asked or even begged to send something by Western Union, Moneygram or just remit money by SWIFT or SEPA payment methods to their bank account. But… even if you believe in those stories and with tears in your eyes send that poor girl money, there are just no banks on that territory that are connected to international payment systems! Yes, correct! There is no way to receive your money on an occupied territory! But even though there are no banks there, nor any payment systems – your remittance will be received very fast! 😉

How would your money be received?
Answer is VERY SIMPLE!
That girl with whom you correspond lives somewhere in Ukraine and tells scary stories of her life to as many foreign men as possible. Because she lives in Ukraine on non-occupied territory, she has access to all payment systems and banks. Of course, in Ukraine she can receive your money without any problems. And as you guessed correctly – she will receive your money instantly! 😉 But not while staying and living on occupied part of Donetsk and Lugansk region!

Let us repeat it once again: if you start to correspond with a lady who pretends to live in Donetsk or Lugansk and who asks for help either to get her out of there, or to support her – it is 100% SCAM!
